YEC Night at the Phillies

Tuesday, June 16, 2026

Members of the Young Executives Council (YEC) gathered on Tuesday, June 16, for an evening of networking and baseball as they watched the Philadelphia Phillies take on the Miami Marlins.

The Phillies earned an 8–2 victory behind home runs from Brandon Marsh, Alec Bohm, and Kyle Schwarber, while Jesús Luzardo delivered a strong performance on the mound, pitching seven impressive innings.

YEC Night at the Phillies provided a relaxed and enjoyable setting for members to connect, build relationships, and exchange valuable insights. Special thanks to James Hanrahan and Conner Strong for generously providing the use of their suite for the evening. A great time was had by all, and we appreciate everyone who joined us for this memorable event.

On March 5th, CAEP's Young Executive Council, in collaboration with GBCA's Construction Leadership Council, hosted an engaging Leadership Series event titled "The Truth Exposed: Why Performance Alone Isn’t Enough" at Yards Brewing Company, coinciding with Women in Construction Week.

Tara Marcus and Shannon Peck of DillionMarcus delivered an insightful presentation that encouraged attendees to rethink the conventional notion that hard work is the sole pathway to success, promoting a more nuanced understanding of achievement in the construction industry.

The session on the P.I.E. model provided valuable insights into enhancing career trajectories by focusing on Performance, Image, and Exposure, along with strategies for building a strong professional brand and increasing visibility. Attendees engaged in key discussions about networking and factors crucial for career advancement, culminating in an evening of networking that fostered connections and opportunities for professional development.
